today we have to announce that, after years of successful service, the viCampus team decided to stop operations for the time to come. Our philosophy required us to produce high quality teaching material at affordable prices for you. Our constant efforts to provide you with a valuable teaching environment includes ourself monitoring the demands and needs of our students as well as the current state of the art in this field of operation we all do love: video game and 3d graphics development.
Unfortunately our self assessment revealed the fact that we would need to update the full range of our products to meet the current and future state of the art. Since all of our instructors working at viCampus do so because of their personal dedication, and not for making a living, we do not have the time resources for the required updates, rewrites, and reimplementations of all our course material.
We have therefore been faced with the decision to either leave the material untouched, to reduce the quality of our material, or to stop operations. Honestly, the first two options are not compatible with our philosophy. Hence, suffering some strong mixed feelings about this decision, we have to shut down our operations until we might, some day in the far future, have again enough resources at our disposal to continue our services with the quality we target at. On the one hand we are quite happy with what we have achieved, and are pleased with how you, our students, have performed. On the other hand we are very sad that we cannot direct more resources to viCampus to keep it alive the way we want to have it up and running.
So its time for us to say a big THANK YOU to all of you and wish you all the best on your journey through the virtual worlds ahead.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
